Open-plan offices, hot desks and a manager walking behind your chair: work is where WhatsApp is most exposed. Closing it means missing messages, and keeping it open means sharing them.
WBlur lets you keep WhatsApp open all day. Your chats stay blurred, new messages don't pop out in plain text, and you read them by hovering over them.

- 04Alt+X (in the browser) turns the blur on or off instantly
- 05Works with WhatsApp on Mac and WhatsApp Web in any major browser
How to set it up
- 1Install WBlur for Mac, or the extension for your browser.
- 2Open WhatsApp: everything is blurred by default.
- 3Hover over a chat or message to read it.
- 4Choose what to blur: keep the last 3 messages readable if you're alone, blur everything when you're not.

Questions, answered.
Can my employer see that I use WBlur?
WBlur is an ordinary app or browser extension. It doesn't hide itself, but it also doesn't send anything anywhere: it only blurs your own screen.
Is WBlur free?
The browser extension for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Brave and Opera is free. The Mac app is free for 3 days, then a one-time $19 license key for up to 3 Macs, with a 14-day refund if it's not for you.
Does WBlur read or collect my messages?
No. WBlur only changes how WhatsApp looks on your screen. It does not read, store or send your messages, contacts or any information about you.
Can the other person tell that I use WBlur?
No. WBlur only blurs what is shown on your own screen. Nothing changes in WhatsApp itself, and read receipts work exactly as before.
