Firefox users care about privacy, and WhatsApp Web shows a lot of it on screen. The WBlur add-on blurs web.whatsapp.com until you hover over what you want to read.
WBlur declares no data collection on addons.mozilla.org, because it does not collect any: it only changes how the page looks on your screen.

Does it work in private windows?
Yes, if you allow WBlur to run in private windows in Firefox's add-on settings.
Is WBlur free?

Does WBlur read or collect my messages?
No. WBlur only changes how WhatsApp looks on your screen. It does not read, store or send your messages, contacts or any information about you.
Can the other person tell that I use WBlur?
No. WBlur only blurs what is shown on your own screen. Nothing changes in WhatsApp itself, and read receipts work exactly as before.
